Blending
By blending different product components can be unified. Advantages of continuous blending are process-oriented handling, direct treatment and low investment costs.
Continuous blending of free flowing products
Continuous blending process
With the aid of several dosing units it is possible to realise a parallel blending process. The desired blending ratio is entered in % of total flow rate. For each dosing unit a specific target flow rate is calculated, which is regulated online. The product components flow continuously and simultaneously into subsequent conveying machine – the desired composition is achieved in one continuous process.
Homogenisation is gained because of direct mixing in preset proportions: Components are constantly unified in these same proportions.
The Flow Controller FC3 is suited for application as dosing unit with free flowing bulk. It regulates the flow rate continuously, without interruption of the product stream. Changes in density or ease of flow are compensated by direct readjustment. Comprehensive functions for error detection make sure that operation is highly reliable.

Continuous blending of heavy flowing products

Using a gravimetric dosage system makes continuous blending possible. Heavily flowing products can be weighed, dosed and mixed continuously within one process. By entering percentages it is easy to regulate the flow of product in the conveying lines. Based on the given weighing signals the electronic steers the screw to the target flow in tons per hour (t/h). In the following step the conveying lines are brought together. Eventually the composition is created.
One advantage is homogenisation, which takes place directly. In contrast to a batch mixer which is filled successively and inhomogeneously, the conveying lines are brought together on-time. This reduces energy costs remarkably.
